What is Cask Ale?
Cask ale or cask-conditioned beer is the term for unfiltered and unpasteurized beer which is conditioned (including secondary fermentation) and served from a cask without additional nitrogen or carbon dioxide pressure. To learn more check out www.cask-ale.co.uk
When are the casks getting tapped?
We will be tapping them Saturday afternoon for the judging, Gates for ticket holders open at 6pm and last call is at 9:45
When does the ticket booth open the day of the festival?
We will begin selling tickets on Saturday March 10th at 2pm. You will receive your BYCO wristband as proof of purchase. Doors to the festival will not open until 6pm. Taster glasses will be given to all festival goers once the gates are open and you have entered the festival
What is the Rain Plan?
This is a rain or shine event, the festival site and cask tasting will be tented, but check the weather and plan accordingly.
When will the awards be announced?
We will be announcing the results of the judges awards as well as the people's choice for best cask at 9pm
Can I brink my Dog / Cat / Hampster?
We love em as well, but no animals allowed at this festival
What do I get with my ticket?
Entry into a one of a kind cask ale festival to sample 80 different cask created by 80 different amateur brewers in addition to some cask's SweetWater is creating for the occasion, as well as SweetWater's full line up of lip smackin brews.
Will there be food available?
There will be a variety of food vendors on site offer up some tasty treats
Do you have to be 21 to come?
Yes - sorry, there are no exceptions to this
Are there Designated Driver tickets available?
Not at this time. There is a very limited amount of people we can accommodate for this event. We will be working will local cab companies, and certainly encourage everyone attending to organize safe transportation home.
What is the address of the festival?
It is on Ottley Drive - the festival will be taking place in the street in front of SweetWater Brewery
Will the Brewery be open for tours?
The brewery and tasting room will be open for tours throughout the festival
